GroupCamp has launched a major update for its web-based suite of business productivity software, GroupCamp Project. This latest update includes a thorough redesign of GroupCamp’s user interface with new enriched social profiles and a major update for GroupCamp’s online task management application.

“Our clients are investing heavily in cloud computing and software as a service (SaaS). We have worked closely with them in creating an application suite that helps them deliver to their clients, improve their team’s productivity and track their resources” said Dickel SOORIAH, GroupCamp’s co-founder.

New business productivity software with advanced task management features

The new software update includes a fully redesigned task management application with enhanced filtering options, new views for planning and resource management. Project managers now have a new Planning view within the Tasks application to improve the way they track due dates within a project and in their global dashboard. The collaborative tasks application allows project managers to make the most of tags in the cross-project view to build fully customized reports.

With this latest update GroupCamp Project presents a full featured group productivity application including parallel task management, recurring tasks, percentage completion, time estimates and time records.

Focusing on customer management, this latest update makes it easier to copy settings from a client project to another.

In an effort to make all its features customizable, GroupCamp now allows account owners and administrators to fully customize the privileges for each role. Account owners managing a large number of projects can now choose which privileges to delegate to Administrators and to Managers.

GroupCamp also unveiled new enriched social profiles for account users. The new Profile application includes social network information together with customized fields which allows users to provide more information on their background to fellow account users
